PROVINCIAL TRANSPORT AUTHORITY (PTA)

Functions

Inter / Intra Provincial route permits for PSVs

Route permits for public carriage i.e. Truck Trailer and Oil Tanker

Countersigning route permits & setting Inter Provincial routes in collaboration with other PTAs

Fixing fares for Stage Carriages with the recommendations of RTAs

REGIONAL TRANSPORT AUTHORITY (PTA)

Functions

Route permits in respect of Buses, Trucks, Taxies, Rickshaw, and Pick-Ups etc

Regulating Bus Terminals in consultation with district administration

As Tribunal for compensation of death/injury cases in road accidents

Administrating Motor Vehicle Examination

Balochistan Mass Transit Authority (BMTA)

Functions

To ensure safe, efficient and comfortable mass transit operations

To plan, construct, operate and maintain the corridors for comfortable mass transit

To collect fares as determined by the Government

To monitor and enforce contracts, agreements entered into by the Authority Transport Department

Balochistan Traffic Engineering Bureau (BTEB)

Functions

Taking measures to promote road safety

Traffic management, road design and specifications

Installation, control, operation, monitoring and maintenance of traffic

Identifying the needs of pedestrians
